GUWAHATI: The American Federation of Muslims of Indian Origin (AFMI) will hold its 22nd international convention on education and award programme in Guwahati on December 28-29.
Since 22 years, AFMI has been holding an award ceremony to felicitate Muslim toppers of Class X and XII exams. This is the first time this educational convention will take place in Guwahati. It will feature sessions on various aspects of education that will be addressed by experts. A special round will be dedicated to the challenges and prospects before Muslim educators in the northeast. Another programme will focus on educating the girl child.
